The tryst of the world with this pandemic called COVID-19 or Corona Virus is a total bolt from the blue for the billions of people on this planet. An infectious disease, that spreads through the droplets of saliva or the nose discharge, when an infected person coughs or sneezes. Whereas we all know that the numbers of positive cases are touching a new height every day, we also can’t deny that our Government is doing every possible way to control the situation.

The fact that we all need to accept and work on is, that we can’t be dependent on our Government and officials for every single actions. As our respected Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi said “We all need to be AATMANIRBHAR in this pandemic”. By being self-dependent he means that we need to be aware of all the precautions and safety measures that we can adapt in our daily lifestyles to keep this uninvited guest out of our house and body.

There are many little steps that we can take to see a major change:

·     STAY HOME: There is no debate about it that most of us are, hating this house arrest or as the millennial are addressing it “Quarantine”. At the same time we all are aware that there is no other way we can protect ourselves or others to be open to this lethal disease. So yeah we do it hate it but it’s better to be on your own bed rather than being on any hospital’s bed.

·     WASH YOUR HANDS: The line that we all have been listening to since childhood, but we still avoid it to some extent. Although now we need to wash our hands often with soap and water for at least 20 sec, especially before eating or after coughing or sneezing.

·      AVOID THINGS: Avoiding few things can make the scenario even better. One should avoid touching their face after coughing or sneezing, Avoid going out in crowd especially if you are sick, avoid any kind of gatherings etc.

·      SAFETY MEASURES: Although it’s a clear no step out of the house, but in any case of urgency we should be out with all our safety measures. The two major shields we can have for this virus is “Mask” & an alcohol-based “Hand Sanitizer”.

Apart from these entire To Do list, the thing that people are unable to cope with is the “Mental Uncertainty”. This lockdown is supporting the mental anguish of people up to some extent. So being prepared rationally won’t be enough for us, we need to help us and others psychical too.

·    Communicate with you closed ones, social distancing doesn’t stop you of keeping a check on them and letting them know that you are there for them.

·   After getting done with all the cribbing for this lock down, we can also look at the  positive side of it. We can take it as a chance to cash on our long awaiting hobbies list.
·    Take break from those, mind wrenching reading and watching about the situation. It’s good to be updated but don’t let the news give you even more threats. In conclusion we all can handle and deal with this outbreak, if we would be aware and there for each other. We can fight this pandemic together.
